10TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_SEQ_00Clive is ready to travel to Gridania. ※This quest is available for a limited time only.
21TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_SEQ_01Having failed to jog Clive's memories with a visit to Ul'dah, it has been decided that you shall journey next to Gridania. Although apparently unfamiliar with airship travel, the young man is eager to continue onward. ※Please note that you will be unable to complete this quest after the event has ended. For details, please check the Lodestone.
32TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_SEQ_02Despite retaining knowledge of general concepts such as swords and combat techniques, Clive still struggles with the existence of functional airships. With great effort, he sets the infuriating inconsistency of his memory loss aside and devotes his energies to moving forward.
43TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_SEQ_03As a newcomer to Gridania, Clive must rely on you to guide him around the city. The Carline Canopy should thus make for a logical first stop. ※You must be accompanied by Clive to complete this task. Speak with him again should you become separated.
54TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_SEQ_04Upon entering the Carline Canopy, Clive is visited by a fragmented memory of a similar place...but nothing more. He looks to the tavern's exit, desperate to see more.
65TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_SEQ_05The sight of a chocobo ignites a spark of recognition in Clive. He seems certain that he once had his own feathered mount, but can recall no other details. With little else forthcoming, you may as well continue onwards.
76TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_SEQ_06Clive pauses at Gridania's aetheryte, wondering if the glittering construct could be a “Mothercrystal.” Quickly realizing that it is far too small, he sets his sights on the next point of potential interest.
87TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_SEQ_07Upon approaching the Adders' Nest, Clive reacts strongly when a returning scout makes mention of the primal Garuda. After learning of Clive's situation, Commander Heuloix expresses his sympathies and offers to arrange a meeting with the Elder Seedseer, believing it to be the best hope for his recovery. The aforementioned scout bids you find him at Nophica's Altar when you are ready for your audience.
98TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_SEQ_08Kan–E–Senna provides Clive with further details of Garuda's appearance and disposition, yet while he finds it all somewhat familiar, he cannot help but feel something is awry. Appearing as if from nowhere, the wandering minstrel proposes that this disconnect stems from the fact that Clive himself is not of this world─a conclusion reached after an extensive survey of the surrounding settlements turned up not even a single soul who had met their distinctively tattooed visitor before. Furthermore, the Elder Seedseer concludes that Clive's amnesia is not the result of illness or injury. Rather, she speculates he is suppressing some awful truth─one he must confront by breaking through a barrier of his own making.
109TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_SEQ_09As Clive ponders his confounding dilemma, the wandering minstrel suggests that the heat of battle may provide the solution. Asked only to prepare for war, you are to await the enigmatic performer at Apkallu Falls.

4948TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_001Are we ready? Then let's head out.
5049TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_002This Gridania the minstrel mentioned, is it far? Will we need mounts?
5150TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_003...By “airship”? You have those?
5251TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_004Not that I mean to doubt you, friend. If you say we're boarding an airship, then that's what we'll do.
5352TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_010Player, if I may ask a foolish question... Do these airships of yours actually fly?
5453TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_011A foolish question indeed, then. Your expression tells me as much.
5554TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_Q1_000_000What will you say?
5655TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_A1_000_001First time traveling by airship?
5756TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_A1_000_002Is there no airship travel where you're from?
5857TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_013I believe it will be.
5958TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_014So it would seem...
6059TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_015It's odd... I know that the weapon on my back is called a “sword.” I understand what it's for and how to wield it.
6160TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_016Foggy as my memories may be, my general knowledge seems intact.
6261TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_017Yet hearing you speak of functional airships, I felt...confusion. Disbelief. For something that you clearly think of as commonplace.
6362TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_018I can make no sense of it. Where was I before now...?
6463TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_019Ah, but dwelling on this is pointless. Forward is the only way.
6564TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_020To feel that bracing wind, the deck shuddering beneath your feet as you rise into the sky... My memory may be faulty, but that was an experience I'm sure I'd not soon forget.
6665TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_030So, this is Gridania? It seems very unlike the city we just left.
6766TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_031Where to begin...? I think it best if I follow your lead.
6867TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_SYSTEM_000_032Clive is now accompanying you. Keep him at your side in order to proceed with quest objectives.
6968TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_SYSTEM_000_033You can leave Clive behind by entering a different area, or by speaking with him and selecting the option to part ways.
7069TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_SYSTEM_000_034If you wish to have Clive join you again, return and speak with him at the original location.
7170TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_SYSTEM_000_035
7271TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_SYSTEM_000_040
7372TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_Q2_000_045What will you do?
7473TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_A2_000_046Talk.
7574TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_A2_000_047Part ways.
7675TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_A2_000_048Nothing.
7776TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_055This city certainly has a different feel to Ul'dah. Not only the architecture, but the people as well.
7877TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_SYSTEM_000_060Are you sure you wish to part ways with Clive?
7978TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_065An urgent task? Please, by all means. We can rendezvous back at the airship landing.
8079TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_070Shall we continue from where we left off?
8180TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_080This tavern... It reminds me of somewhere I've been before...
8281TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_081No, it's no use. I can feel the memory, but it's like grasping at smoke. But maybe if you were to show me somewhere else?
8382TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_090...A chocobo!? Now that's something I recognize.
8483TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_091Yet it's more than that. I had my own chocobo once, I'm sure of it.
8584TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_092But as for the when or the where...
8685TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_100An impressive crystal. Not a Mothercrystal, surely...?
8786TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_105No, not nearly large enough.
8887TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_110Ugh, when I try to remember, the fog in my head almost seems to grow thicker...
8988TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_120This is a truly beautiful place.
9089TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_Q3_000_000What will you say?
9190TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_A3_000_001You've taken a liking to Gridania, then?
9291TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_A3_000_002Have you remembered anything else?
9392TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_122I do like what I've seen of it. Seems a peaceful life here among the trees, only...
9493TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_123Brief flashes of this and that, but nothing to suggest I've been here before.
9594TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_124I just can't shake the strangest feeling.
9695TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_125As if it's *too* peaceful. And that doesn't sit right...
9796TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_SERPENTSCOUT04797_000_126Patrol reporting, Commander! All is quiet with the Ixal─no sightings of Garuda!
9897TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_VORSAILE_000_127For which we are profoundly grateful. At ease, soldier.
9998TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_128Did he say “Garuda”?
10099TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_129You there! This Garuda you speak of─
101100TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_130Hngh...
102101TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_VORSAILE_000_131Sir, are you alright?
103102TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_VORSAILE_000_132Player. Do you know this gentleman?
104103TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_VORSAILE_000_133Memory loss, you say? I'm sorry to hear that. Though it seems Garuda's name has lit a spark of some sort.
105104TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_134I was in a battle...with Garuda. I fought her, I'm sure of it.
106105TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_135Please, you must tell me more. Anything that might help me remember my past.
107106TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_VORSAILE_100_135Of course. Gridania owes a debt of gratitude to any who've stood against that destructive fiend.
108107TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_VORSAILE_000_136However, there is one more suited to the task than I. Our Elder Seedseer is well versed not only in primal lore, but also in the treatment of bodily afflictions. She is surely your best hope for recovery.
109108TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_VORSAILE_000_137I will send word ahead to Stillglade Fane. Stand ready to escort our guests to an audience.
110109TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_SERPENTSCOUT04797_000_138Understood, Commander!
111110TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_SERPENTSCOUT04797_000_139Pray find me at Nophica's Altar in Old Gridania, and I will see that you are granted entry to the Lotus Stand.
112111TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_VORSAILE_000_150I shall pray for the swift return of your companion's memories.
113112TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_151The way back to what I've lost begins with Garuda. Of that I feel certain.
114113TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_SERPENTSCOUT04797_000_160The Lotus Stand lies just ahead. If you would follow me, please.
115114TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_KANESENNA_000_161Greetings, honored guests.
116115TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_KANESENNA_000_162Commander Heuloix has apprised me of your friend's condition. This is he?
117116TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_KANESENNA_000_163A pleasure to meet you. I am Kan–E–Senna, Elder Seedseer of Gridania.
118117TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_164I thank you for your gracious welcome.
119118TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_165I am Clive...though beyond that, I fear my introduction may be lacking.
120119TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_KANESENNA_000_166Please, concern yourself not with proprieties─'tis your memory loss we are here to address. I am told Garuda's name awakened some previous recollection...?
121120TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_167Yes. In the instant I heard it, a hazy vision of battle rose unbidden. I think perhaps if I could hear more of Garuda...
122121TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_KANESENNA_000_168A wish easily granted.
123122TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_KANESENNA_000_169Garuda is the deity revered by the Ixal, a people who once dwelled here in the Twelveswood.
124123TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_KANESENNA_000_170She appears as a winged entity, half-bird, half-woman, who commands the wind itself. Most frightening, however, is her capricious temper, as unpredictable as a howling storm.
125124TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_KANESENNA_000_171I should add that Player has fought against Garuda in her primal incarnation.
126125TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_172A winged woman of volatile temperament, with power over the wind... A fitting description of the opponent I remember.
127126TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_173But a deity...? No, the will behind that monstrous visage was distinctly mortal.
128127TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_WANDERINGMINSTREL_000_174I suspect Clive's Garuda and Eorzea's primal are not one and the same.
129128TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_WANDERINGMINSTREL_000_175Mainly as Clive himself is not of our world.
130129TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_KANESENNA_000_176Explain yourself, minstrel.
131130TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_WANDERINGMINSTREL_000_177I went back to where we discovered Clive and questioned folk in all the nearby settlements. Not one person recognized his description.
132131TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_WANDERINGMINSTREL_000_178Such a distinctive tattoo escaping the notice of every local rumormonger for malms around? Improbable, to say the least.
133132TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_WANDERINGMINSTREL_000_179That led me to consider another possibility. One consistent with past accounts I have heard of visitors from other worlds somehow stumbling through reality's curtain and finding their way to our star.
134133TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_180My brand, it's... It's the mark of a Bearer.
135134TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_KANESENNA_000_181Does it pain you to remember?
136135TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_182I feel the memories trying to surface, but when I strain to recall, a piercing ringing fills my ears...
137136TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_183Garuda. Bearer. Ifrit...
138137TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_KANESENNA_000_184Another primal's name. 'Twould seem the pain has a less-than-tangible source.
139138TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_KANESENNA_000_185Long have I studied the healing arts, yet I sense no shadow of illness in your body. Your suffering stems not from injury nor sickness.
140139TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_KANESENNA_000_186Victims of terrible events have been known to suppress their own memories out of instinct...
141140TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_KANESENNA_000_187One's subconscious denies attempts to confront the awful truth, the mind creating a shield of pain to protect the heart.
142141TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_188The barrier is of my own making? How, then, am I to overcome it?
143142TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_WANDERINGMINSTREL_000_189With our aid, of course.
144143TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_WANDERINGMINSTREL_000_190Fate has brought us together, and together we shall triumph over this adversity!
145144TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_200So, you think me from another world...
146145TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_CLIVE_000_201And my memories of said world are not like to return unless I acknowledge some terrible truth. A truth my mind refuses to remember.
147146TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_WANDERINGMINSTREL_000_202'Tis a confounding dilemma, I agree, and I have given thought to a solution.
148147TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_WANDERINGMINSTREL_000_203I believe that the shackles which bind your mind may yet be struck off in the heat of battle. A drastic measure, perhaps, especially when not at your best.
149148TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_WANDERINGMINSTREL_000_204Which is why I turn to you, Player. You are the twin to Clive's wandering star─your involvement is no accident.
150149TEXT_FESSXT102_04797_WANDERINGMINSTREL_000_205The path I see is thick with thorns, but if you've the will to walk it, then gird yourself for war and await me at Apkallu Falls.
