40TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_SEQ_00Cahciua's eyes sparkle in anticipation of discovery.
51TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_SEQ_01As part of her final adventure, Cahciua bids your party scout out Windspath Gardens for points of note. In particular, she is keen to compare the creatures here with those native to the Source, and you bear this in mind as you strike out for the task.
62TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_SEQ_02You take yourself around the gardens and, through a combination of conversation and observation, make a number of interesting discoveries. Satisfied, you go to report them to Cahciua.
73TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_SEQ_03After you delight Cahciua with your findings, Erenville mentions that he caught sight of an unfamiliar scalekin. His description of it, however, leads Cahciua to believe that it may instead be a beastkin, and it is decided that you will all seek it out for observation.
84TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_SEQ_04You join mother and son for their discussion on wildlife classification, which leads to the revelation that not only did Cahciua meet Galuf during his time in Tural, but also that it was his tales of Sharlayan gleaners which led her to encourage Erenville to become one when he was older. Cahciua then expresses her desire to visit the Cleyra Museum of Nature, which she says has creatures that take patrons on leisure flights. As only three people can fly at a time, the group heading there is limited to Cahciua, Erenville, and yourself.
95TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_SEQ_05Arriving at the museum, you are greeted by the sight of three critters that, while adorable, look decidedly incapable of flight. As Cahciua states, however, one should not judge a creature by its appearance...

5248TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_WUKLAMAT_000_001When it comes to inquisitiveness, I reckon I'm a match for both you and Erenville!
5349TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_GRAHATIA_000_005Some creatures here do indeed appear to resemble those in Eorzea. Such was the case in the First, too...
5450TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_KRILE_000_010<giggle> Cahciua looks awfully happy, doesn't she?
5551TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_ERENVILLE_000_015I can't recall the last time my mother was so excited...
5652TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_020To begin with, I'd like you to scout out the vicinity and report back with any points of note.
5753TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_021This would be a good opportunity to speak with the locals. They're bound to be familiar with the area, after all.
5854TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_022As Elene'shpya suggested, it would be interesting to compare the creatures here with those native to the Source.
5955TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_023I never ventured outside of Tural, so I look forward to your insights!
6056TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_WUKLAMAT_000_024Just leave it to us! I've only ever been to Sharlayan myself, but I'd like to think I know interesting when I see it!
6157TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_025Of everyone, I daresay you've been to the most places. I cannot wait to hear your thoughts!
6258TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_GARDENSENDLESSA04957_000_030Oh, hello there. What am I doing, you ask?
6359TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_GARDENSENDLESSA04957_000_031Look up the trunk. See the plants within capsules?
6460TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_GARDENSENDLESSA04957_000_032These are species that either can't survive in Windspath Gardens, or would become invasive and disrupt the ecosystem.
6561TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_GARDENSENDLESSA04957_000_033The capsules recreate the conditions they require, from tropical to frigid climes, while keeping them isolated.
6662TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_GARDENSENDLESSA04957_000_034In this way, any and all plant life can be preserved forever. Just like ourselves.
6763TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_GARDENSENDLESSA04957_000_035I've been observing the plants for decades now. They're like children to me.
6864TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_GARDENSENDLESSB04957_000_040Did you know that even the water here is created using electrope?
6965TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_GARDENSENDLESSB04957_000_041The initial product is too pure, though, and adjustments have to be made so the composition resembles what's found in the natural environment.
7066TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_GARDENSENDLESSB04957_000_042That's just one of the many things they do to create the ideal conditions for these plants to thrive.
7167TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_GARDENSENDLESSB04957_000_043I don't know what's become of the world outside the barrier, but I should like to visit a lovely spot such as this in real life.
7268TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_GARDENSENDLESSB04957_000_044Speaking of lovely spots, have you been to the top of this lookout here? It's a great vantage point, and there's even a food stall in case you're hungry.
7369TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_GARDENSENDLESSB04957_000_045There's real fish here, by the way. We're allowed to catch some, but I'd rather just watch them.
7470TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_GARDENSENDLESSC04957_000_050My ancestors aren't actually Alexandrian, but hailed from a place called Conde Petie.
7571TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_GARDENSENDLESSC04957_000_051They had some unique customs there. For instance, when greeting someone, you had to say “lali-ho” in a spirited manner.
7672TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_GARDENSENDLESSC04957_000_052Our settlement was also famous for a gigantic tree that grew nearby. It was so enormous that, when you stood at its base, the roots covering the ground went beyond the horizon.
7773TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_GARDENSENDLESSC04957_000_053The terminal here at Windspath Gardens is apparently inspired by that very tree─the Iifa Tree, its name was.
7874TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_GARDENSENDLESSC04957_000_054It may not be real, but it's nice to have it as a memento for posterity.
7975TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_GARDENSENDLESSC04957_000_055The actual Iifa Tree would have been bigger than this! Much, much bigger!
8076TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_SYSTEM_000_060You see a creature wandering about that resembles the treants native to the Twelveswood.
8177TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_SYSTEM_000_061The flower garden appears to be meticulously maintained, if not by Endless then by machines.
8278TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_ERENVILLE_000_065There was a beast I had never seen before.
8379TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_KRILE_000_070While the arboretums of Sharlayan imitate natural environs, this place has the feel of an exhibit. In that sense, the word “gardens” does suit it well.
8480TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_080Ah, welcome back, <Split(<Highlight>ObjectParameter(1)</Highlight>, ,1)/>! Krile has just delivered to me a most fascinating report.
8581TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_081You have some engaging impressions to share too, I hope?
8682TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_082Well, well, that is all very interesting indeed. But I must say, I am most fascinated by the ambulating trees.
8783TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_083While there are similar creatures in Urqopacha, could you tell me more about these treants as you know them?
8884TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_Q1_000_000What will you say?
8985TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_A1_000_001They're native to the Twelveswood, where they prey upon even wolves.
9086TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_A1_000_002There are various subspecies, such as those with red leaves or a gnarled look.
9187TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_A1_000_003They like to hurl acorns at you─exploding ones.
9288TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_085Is that so? To maintain the ecosystem here, I imagine there are creatures that serve as their prey.
9389TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_086Is that so? Though it makes sense they would adapt to their environment in that fashion. I imagine they need careful management to flourish, such as having specific varieties of trees around them.
9490TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_087Haha, is that so? To maintain an ecosystem with such formidable creatures, I imagine there must be other equally imposing species to keep them in check.
9591TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_KRILE_000_088The management of ecosystems... That calls to mind Labyrinthos, does it not?
9692TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_ERENVILLE_000_089That it does.
9793TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_ERENVILLE_100_089Lest you wonder, Labyrinthos is a storage facility deep beneath Sharlayan that contains a recreation of a temperate climate zone.
9894TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_090Such a place exists? Amazing!
9995TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_ERENVILLE_000_091By the by, did anyone also catch sight of a large scalekin?
10096TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_092A large scalekin, you say? What does it look like?
10197TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_ERENVILLE_000_093Nothing I've seen before, but it has a rodent-like form and walks on all fours.
10298TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_094If it looks like a rodent, wouldn't that make it a beastkin?
10399TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_ERENVILLE_000_095No. It's covered in scales─ones that appear to mimic succulent plants. By that, I would definitely classify it as a scalekin.
104100TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_096Well, it's hard to say for certain without seeing it. Why don't you show me?
105101TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_ERENVILLE_000_097Very well. It was in a flower field earlier, and should still be near.
106102TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_098Let's head over there, then. When we find it, we'll see who's right!
107103TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_198The two of you should come along too and lend us your opinions!
108104TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_KRILE_000_099Go on ahead, <Split(<Highlight>ObjectParameter(1)</Highlight>, ,1)/>. I'll let the others know and then join you.
109105TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_ERENVILLE_000_100This is the area. The beast didn't give the impression that it moves frequently.
110106TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_105Hehe, this is so exciting! Come on and help us find the creature!
111107TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_SYSTEM_000_110You spot a beast resembling the echevore you encountered in the First.
112108TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_SYSTEM_000_111
113109TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_ERENVILLE_000_112That's the one there.
114110TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_113I see, I see... At a glance, it certainly has the look of both scalekin and beastkin.
115111TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_114Let's examine it more closely, shall we? Tell me your observations.
116112TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_Q2_000_000What will you say?
117113TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_A2_000_001It's covered in plantlike scales.
118114TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_A2_000_002It has deft little paws.
119115TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_A2_000_003It has a pointy snout.
120116TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_ERENVILLE_100_114That was also the first thing I noticed. I daresay those scales are for hiding in foliage.
121117TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_ERENVILLE_110_114Indeed. Such forelimbs would be well suited to holding nuts and berries and the like.
122118TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_ERENVILLE_120_114Indeed. Such a snout would be well suited to feeding on ground-dwelling vilekin.
123119TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_115Having studied it, I believe that the “scales” upon its back are in fact a unique form of hide. Rather than being shed, it grows with the creature.
124120TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_ERENVILLE_000_116Hmmm, you may be right... If we consider that along with its other characteristics, such as its face and hands, it's more likely to be a beastkin like you said.
125121TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_117A physical examination would be needed to confirm this beyond doubt, but I'm satisfied simply to have seen it!
126122TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_118It seems you alone were familiar with this species. Where did you encounter it?
127123TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_119The faerie kingdom of the First!?
128124TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_ERENVILLE_000_120<Split(<Highlight>ObjectParameter(1)</Highlight>, ,1)/> has been to the very edge of existence. <If(PlayerParameter(4))>She<Else/>He</If> has seen life that others could only imagine.
129125TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_121Amazing... Creation truly holds no end of mysteries!
130126TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_122Oh, how I'd love to see them all─the life beyond the bounds of our star and plane both!
131127TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_WUKLAMAT_000_123Looks like we're having fun.
132128TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_124Ahh, hearing about the unknown never fails to rouse me. I felt the same way when Ketenramm and Galuf treated me to tales of their travels.
133129TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_KRILE_000_125You've met my grandfather too!?
134130TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_126Oh? Didn't I already mention it?
135131TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_127It was when Galuf came to Tural to investigate the golden city. I happened to have business with Gulool Ja Ja, so we met in Tuliyollal.
136132TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_128Little did I know that the tiny babe he was cradling would return as you.
137133TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_KRILE_000_129To think that our paths had already crossed all these years ago...
138134TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_130Not only yours and mine either. Elene'shpya was there too, you know?
139135TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_ERENVILLE_000_131...I don't remember.
140136TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_KRILE_000_132It's quite fine if you don't!
141137TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_133It was actually because Galuf told me about Sharlayan that I later urged Elene'shpya to take up gleaning.
142138TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_134My fussy bunbun was growing up dour and withdrawn, and it was when I was at my wit's end that I recalled your grandfather's story about gleaners. Seeing the world through their adventures would inspire a change for the better, I believed.
143139TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_ERENVILLE_000_135...I'm sorry I was dour and withdrawn.
144140TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_WUKLAMAT_000_136If you ask me, you still have some work to do. But it's because you're that way that you're with us now, and I for one am grateful!
145141TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_137Well, let's keep moving, shall we?
146142TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_138There is a facility I've been wanting to visit─the Cleyra Museum of Nature. They're supposed to have creatures that take you on leisure flights!
147143TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_139There's just one problem: it seems only three people can fly at one time...
148144TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_WUKLAMAT_000_140Then you and Erenville should go. The rest of us still have plenty of other things we can do here.
149145TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_ERENVILLE_000_141If there's room for one more, why don't you come with us, <Split(<Highlight>ObjectParameter(1)</Highlight>, ,1)/>?
150146TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_142Then it's settled. The museum is at the bottom of the ramp that runs west of leynode aero. Come on!
151147TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_ERENVILLE_000_145It does look the part, this museum. I must say I'm curious what's inside.
152148TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CLEYRACURATOR_000_150Hello there! Come to ride the mehwapyarras, have you?
153149TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_WUKLAMAT_000_155Look after Erenville for me!
154150TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_KRILE_000_160All this time, my grandfather was the common thread between us...
155151TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_GRAHATIA_000_165Do not mind us and just enjoy yourselves. We shall explore a little more and then make our way to the terminal.
156152TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_170Here it is, the Cleyra Museum of Nature. The main building is closed due to the aether shortage, but happily they're still offering leisure flights.
157153TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_171And these are the fellows that will bear us. How adorable!
158154TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_ERENVILLE_000_172They don't look capable of flight...
159155TEXT_KINGMF112_04957_CAHCIUA_000_173Ahaha! Come now, you know better than to judge a creature by its appearance. This will be great, I just know it!
